Where's the tail feathers?

What it looks like to me is that your hen was born with the "tailess" gene. Look at Auracaunas as they are bred for it. I'm sure it's very rare in other breeds but it must have come from somewhere to start with in Auracaunas. It means that they don't have the tail joint at all so tail feathers have nowhere to grow from. It's very interesting. Cool bird!

Being tail-less would interfere with flying, but since that's not high on her priorities she should be a very happy chick. If it interfered with egg laying there wouldn't be any Araucanas.
