Had my first ever quails hatch. Now at 10 days old I put them in a cage along with food and water. A few hours later and I look to find most are missing? After I did a double take I realised my mistake... How many quails do you find?

Adding the plastic netting on top the food has all but eliminated waste. But I'm waiting for the time one gets too fat to exit the feeder

I have a clear visual indicator when the feeder is empty. I can count 10 quails in the cage again...

I use old plastic containers with various sized holes cut in the sides depending on the age of the chicks, I’ve had small ones get themselves inside, gorge on the food, and then they can’t squeeze back out with a full crop! They peep peep peep for rescue haha.
