Which am I a roo or hen?

how old? What breed? Looks like a roo if it's under 13 weeks.

I would need to know it's age, and prefferably the breed, but guessing it's age by it's size I would say roo.

Its about 4 months, but it has a little set back from that crooked neck that I have been trying to cure. Have no clue on breed, was given too me. I don't know my breeds of chickens. I have a white chicken that is the same age but is a bit bigger than this one. I was hoping for a hen, but when I put a silkie in with it, it wanted to fight, neck feather came up. I had a couple of roo's but had to find them new homes. Don't know if the silkie is a roo also, its about 3 months old.

I have to agree with Asher...looks like A RIR or maybe a sex link. Either way I believe it's a roo. Were you hoping for a hen?

It's hard to tell from the pics. Could be a RIR roo. It can't be a sex-link roo, it wouldn't be that color, anyway I believe a red-sex link roo would be mostly white.

Yes I have been wanting a hen. I have one hen that I know of for sure. I have 2 silkies that my neighbor gave me and I think I have one of each, but not real sure. My luck trying to get a hen or 2 hasn't been very good. Out of 8 chickens I finally got a hen. Roosters are getting me in trouble where I live, they don't know when to be quite. I had them(2 roos) for 1 1/2yrs and had to find them a new home, got real attached to them, that was hard. For me being a big animal lover.
Thats what I though he was a roo, good thing my friends brother will take him. Thanks for everyones input.
