My lovelies, some of u might recall that recently I was in search of a loving and safe forever home for my 4 Silkies. Well, a friend referred me to someone who seemed to be the perfect fit. She claimed to have the coop, run, ample space for them to run around in, etc. So, putting their needs and happiness ahead of mine own I chose to send them off to this promised paradise. At least that's what I thought because soon after I find out that this person had just conned me and there was no coop, no run, no nothing but a pine coffin, oops, I mean box . This person is actually keeping the chickens this box all day and all night alongside other chickens and ducks. In total probably 10 birds. This is from 1 of the videos she sent me to show me the wonderful life they're now living (Ha!). I would show u the video so that u could see how they are bullying and attacking each other but can't seem to be able to upload it. If I wanted my babies to live this sad and torturous existence I would have just locked them in my closet. So, now this individual is trying to use intimidation techniques to get me to go away. Blocked me even. She's also refusing to return them to me. It's disgusting, appalling and illegal what she's doing and mama's coming to the rescue my babies. Just hang in there.

With that said, what organization do u think will join in my efforts to liberate these animals? Should I just show up with the police?

I'm not a lawyer but I think small claims court to get the legal right to take them back due to breach of contract by the person who has them. Then the police if she doesn't give them back.

Documentation of what she promised in exchange for getting the birds will be very helpful.

A welfare check probably won't help as they will check that they have food, water, and shelter; not that they are happy.

Excellent advice. Thank u!

Contact your local law enforcement and they should help you. Keep records of everything that has been said to you and photos of how the animals are being kept.
:goodpost:
Make sure you screenshot and record everything they sent to you, just in case they delete it, and you'll have no evidence. Save all the screenshots and photos/videos to your device so you have plenty of evidence.

Definitely keeping texts and voice messages saved. I already contacted local authorities by my way but they said I should file a complaint at the precinct where she is which is about an hour and a half away. I guess once I do take the trip down there I can do that.

Thanks for the advice.
