Good morning! So yesterday I lost a chicken 4yr old for no reason I could find...even took her to work and took a radiograph of her to see if there was something obvious going on inside. She was weak and emaciated, and did not want to eat or drink...also had diarrhea. Anyway after treating Rosie with SQ fluids and tube feeding she passed way yesterday afternoon
I want to treat my whole flock with antibiotics and worm them. Do I use Sulmet or tetracycline? The tetracycline is probably safer but the Sulmet will treat more things according to package. Another concern is, if I use the Sulmet and 14 days later start selling eggs do I need to worry about someone with a Sulfa allergy having a reaction? What have you guys done in the past? Thanks
