Which are the best Sitters?

I am brand new at this. I just purchased 1 Barred Rock, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Gold Sexlink, & 1 Buff Orington. Out of these can anyone tell me which or if any will be my best sitter?

! Pleased you joined us! Of the breeds you listed I would say the Buff Orp would be the broodiest. That at least has been my experience. Good luck to you!

I agree that your Orp will be more likely to set - and maybe your barred Rock. The others are unlikely to be broodies.

Thank you for your answers! Hope you all have a great day! I am so excited about this. I grew up on a farm/ranch. Now 50 years later We have our own little 5 acres with the beginnings of a garden & chickens. BYC looks like a wonderful community.
