Although not technically a bantam, silky chickens lay a very good size egg with generous yolk. They don't fly and won't wreck your garden. Excellent for the backyard. Downside - prone to broodiness and they only lay around 120-130 eggs a year...but they don't eat much so have a few more chickens! I found they produce a lot of males in the offspring. They have blue flesh and bones so not on my menu but a delicacy for some...This was asked a year ago, did not get a lot of response and the links with pics posted does not work. I am deciding on a standard or bantam flock and would greatly appreciate your professional opinions. Thanks very much!!!
