Which bedding to use?

I have a bare floor tractor coop that we're leaving stationery for winter. It's on gravel and dirt. I already have a few inches of some shavings and lots of leaves. No issues.

We are expecting overnight temps below 0F, so I'm looking for input on what works well for warmth and still keeps things dry. Straw, pine shaving? I have access to free sawdust.

From past experiences with using pine shavings (we had to change it due to one of my birds eating it) it is pretty good and kept my coop warm and dry.

Any dry organic material will work.

Whatever you can get abundantly at a reasonable price.
