I was wondering what brand of feed the majority used for their chickens. If you recommend a certain brand, or have any other information please feel free to talk about it. I am using Purina but I am considering changing so I just thought I'd see what others used. Thanks.

Ours isn't a choice on the survey, but we use AgriMaster layer poultry feed crumbles. They really like it, seem to be doing well with it, and they are not messy or wasteful with it at all. We get it at Farm and Fleet, cost is $13.49 for a 50lb bag, but it's on sale frequently. We only have 6 hens so one bag lasts about six weeks.

We feed Nutrena flock raiser right now. This year we want to get into growing our own chicken feed to supplement or even replace store bought feed, and maybe work out some meat/egg trade with our neighbors for letting us range some livestock on their property or grow additional feed.

We use Dumor right now, and I have no issues with it. I am thinking of changing to Purina though, just so that I can support our (slightly closer than TSC) small local feed store.
