The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I lost a rooster today too. My old White Legbar rooster was drooped up today and he wouldn't eat, so I took that as a sign he was at the end of his life. He was very old, one of my originals and I've had them for many years. So hubby culled him. He had a great life, breeding hens and living high on the hog. So I will put the little Silver Crele NNer in with the Legbar hens. It was like it was meant to be.
That sucks but sounds like he had a good run.

Or they just never got into them. At least they aren't MFers, those poor, hated creatures. ;)
Indeed
When I hear legHORN I figure they're not in the know and we have nothing further to talk about.

Idk which varieties you're referring to but I'm a tad bit obsessed with the Quail and Blue Quail in your breed.

Doubtful but . I rehomed him several years ago.

🤔 challenge accepted, maybe.
If I ever have a full free day. Or maybe I can hang one upside down from my belt loop for the day. 🤔
Yes, quail and blue quail are gorgeous
Some d'Anver varieties that I can think of that aren't Old English are gold and silver laced
And Gold Neck (white mille fleur if you like) and silver mille fleur, and solid red. A lot of other varieties were added to d'Anvers from OEGB, but they never went the other way around XD
I have yest to see something in another breed that OEGB don't come in. Lavender quail coloring in them is rather pretty as is the pumpkin and that weird gold color that's different than actual golden.

Quail Old English are beautiful and yeah I love what they call "yellow birchen" (not birchen at all XD)
