Which breed of ducks that laying during the winter?

    I want to get a new ducks to laying during the winters, I have Muscovy Ducks myself, they do not laying during the winter also they are seasonal ducks.
    I want to buy some that will laying during the winters. so i can sells the ducklings and eggs.

    Most ducks don't lay during the winter. Actually most poultry/waterfowl don't. Laying is regulated by the amount of light that is available. Winter has shorter days. It is possible to supplement lighting but this is harder on the bird and a regimen needs to be followed because the birds still need to be allowed to molt.

    Also, just because eggs are laid does not mean they will be fertile or that the hen will go broody. Thought needs to be put into where these ducklings will be incubated, then where they will be brooded during cold weather. Costs of incubating, feeding etc. Things are much less expensive in warmer weather. Also, what will you do with any that aren't sold?

    Oh I see, and thats true.
    If they havent sold, Id keep them for next Genetics.
    Which breed of ducks that would breed easy or cant fly?
