Which Breed Shall I Hatch?

Hello again all
I'm in the process of looking for some new chickens to add to my flock.

I will be hatching them out and will buy the eggs from eBay.
The hens will be used for eggs.

What breed would y'all suggest?

It's a really hard decision as there's so many to choose from.
In the past I've just gone for hybrids which are good layers, but this time I'm thinking of trying some pure breeds.

What do you think?

Do NOT get wyandottes if you want chickens that don't hate you and will let you pick them up. I spent a lot of time with mine both as chicks and adults only to get ignored and hated by them

Haha ok. I'll bare that in mind.
I have space for about 20 hens so I could get a selection possibly.

It’s probably just the individual chicken. My Wyandotte is one of my sweetest chickens.

I had three of them. It wasn't an individual chicken thing. All my chicken lover friend's wyandottes are the same. I'm guessing you just got lucky, your chicken sounds nice
