Which breed should I get?-- need quick responses

Cherry Egger is a red sex link and most likly the RIR is a production red. Both will give you alot of eggs for at least a year maybe two but not much beyopnd that. The EE will produce longer than them and so will the SLW.

Thank you all for the kind and wise advice. I did decide to go with the silver lace wyandotte and two easter eggers. They are adorable! It was very difficult to choose only three.

I agree with SonoranSilkies (second post) but then, I also don't think you can go wrong with Dominiques. They are very docile, good mothers, good layers, have a long history, are an endangered breed...just great chickens!

Ive always had atlease 1 RIR hen cause I love them. They are so pretty imo and make me feel at home (childhood home growing up on farm).
