Which breed

I will be checking the black sexlinks breed out. I want to learn about the breed before i get some

In my experience. They're just really chatty and like to cluck to each other and you, which isn't the loud part. It's when they see a predator or lay an egg that things get loud, and you're going to get that from any breed.

My EE's (Easter eggers) ((basically Ameraucanas)), are very good layers. They pretty eggs, as their name states, and are quite friendly.

On the subject of black sex-links. They are not one of my favorites. As a layer, YES. But not as a pet/layer. The ones I've had are pretty agressive toward other hens, and don't like people very much.
Barred Plymouth rocks are good. Friendly and great layers, although not quite as good as the sex-links.

That's just my opinion.
