I’m sure I would hate it, but I think I’d be ok with switching to metric as far as building things. The downside would be having no mental reference whatsoever. If you say something is 12 feet, I know how long that is. I can envision that. If you start rolling out meters and all that nonsense… do you even have anything close to a foot??

Mississippi… A few years back, Jim Cantori of the the weather channel, was covering a hurricane in the gulf. He was talking about which direction it would go and who would be affected. He called us “the landmass” between Louisiana and Alabama. He caught a lot of crap for that one.
