The vet actually just told a story today about a silkie she once had who got herself stuck somewhere in the yard (and died). They figured it was just one of those sad things that happens sometimes... Until it happened Again, to Another Silkie!!! So, "not cut out for barnyard life," is I think how she tactfully put it. There was also a Moana reference I was unfamiliar with but laughed anyway. Something about chickens being stupid. And by chickens, of course she meant Silkies.

I could get more, but it wouldn't be fair to them because the zoo is pretty full right now. We need more room for more clucks. Rather keep it manageable and do the best we can for them until we can get some acreage.
