I can feel the same way you were, especially when kids could be involved. I have taken more than one dangerous dog on a one way trip to the woods. And, that is not to say that was what you were suggesting.

I have a crap ton. I just haven't really looked for any lately. You can hear them every night by the dozens at the ponds. Beautiful chorus here every night. Bulls, greens, pickerels, leopards, toads, gray trees, and in the spring - peepers.

Sounds like my house. Mine are so loud if I'm outside on the phone people ask me if I've gotten goats.

Dang, I can feel the pain through this picture.
I've had some nasty cat bites, but nothing as bad as that.
The worst thing about a cat bite is those needle teeth. Rabbits, pigs, goats, dogs, and angry chickens give love bites in comparison to a cat bite.

Cat scratches also suck. The worst bite I ever got was from a very upset, neurotic chinchilla. I had blood running down my arm from my hand, dripping into the floor. And of course, the silly thing was white.

I would go ahead and start a round of fish-mox. 500 mg, 3x/day, 10 days.*

This is why aquarium hobbyists can't go into Petco/Petsmart and get antibiotics anymore. People take fish medicine to treat their kids and dogs and then sue when something bad happens and they didn't go see a medical professional. Good luck finding any on a shelf.

Very overpriced in brick and mortar stores, likely cheaper to see the doc in a box. But still very hard to find online. I have not heard of litigation over it, nor do I see grounds for it to stand.
