I wanted to like it but couldn't get through half the first season.

Never watched a single episode and hate it. My best friend and her husband started watching it. Then they went out and bought 3 Harleys, joined a motorcycle club, and now I never see them because they're always busy.

So piss on SOA.

The fact that all of us already had bikes is what got us watching in the first place.

Very true. That was kinda my point. Bikes took us to the show, not show took us to bikes. Otherwise, like your friends, it would have separated some from the group. Not everyone is willing to go buy an expensive zooter. And if you stayed with SOA standards, the bike had to be a HD which is way more expensive than a Honda or other Japanese brand.
