Trip, I see this from people every time I am in a grocery store. It's far more common now than it was when I was younger. Especially Moms with kids. Doesn't matter the "class" of the store either. I see it in walmart, I see it in AJ's (more of a high end grocery chain here), I see it in Aldi, Costco, and Target. Loss prevention sees it too, the security camera knows all. I just kinda chalk it up to "walking a mile in their shoes". I dont know their story, and as long as they're paying for it, more power to them if it gets them home saafe (and out of my way).
