You know what? There’s more bald eagles in Canada than there are here…It would have made perfect sense.

No, it just makes more sense if our national bird was actually legitimate.

The bald eagle was far more abundant in this country in the 1700's than it is now. Pesticides have made the bald eagle egg shell very thin and for decades there were very poor hatch rates and the population plummeted. It has since taken a turn for the better. Facts matter
