Well I'll send my winter your way. Gets plenty cold here in the fall. I hate hunting and then butchering in the snow.

No it's not. Dead of winter like 55 degrees thats wonderful thsts why I hope for 4 instead of just 2

Yeah, our winters are not insanely cold. We have the occasional drop to single digit but very rare. Teens are even rare.

I think you and trip may have a different opinion on what constitutes "winter".

I'm with you though. 55 is parka weather.

All are pansies! Last winter at my folk's place in the mountains it got to -27F and my place was at -18F. Winter is 4-5 months long depending where you live in the area. Snow can start falling in October, stay in November and not fully melt until May. I only have wood heat for the house and live in a log cabin that has little insulation. A couple of feet of snow sticks around for at least 2-4 months. Pipes can freeze in the winter. When I lived with my folks.. pipes froze for 5 months solid and had to carry water from the cistern that was about 1/8th of a mile to get water to the house... for 5 months until the pipes thawed. Bunch of pansies!
