with regards to the odds, positive numbers mean you win more than you wagered, and negative numbers mean you win less. +200 means you win $200 for every $100 wagered. -150 means you need to bet $150 to win $100

positive odds are also less likely to hit than negative odds.

from there, there’s a million things you can actually bet on. the three most common are an outright win, called the moneyline, the point spread, and the score.
