I am! Trying to decide if I should stay for Thanksgiving.

The reason it's a debate is because it doesn't sound like they're doing much for Thanksgiving. In the past, they always invited cousins and such but my mom doesn't want to deal with it this year.
So trying to find balance between not being away from Diego too long but also spending time with family.

What would he do if you stayed? Does he have somewhere to go or would he be alone? I think you should stay but then maybe not if he’d be alone for Thanksgiving. Hmmmm…. Idk…

He would be alone, which seems sad to me, but he's a bit of a loner and would say it's an arbitrary holiday and no big deal. He definitely wants us to come home soon because he misses his family but actual Thanksgiving Day itself is no big deal to him.

Hmm well that’s good then if he doesn’t mind! I think I would stay then.

Let me come out of by choice vacation to say go home to your husband and your kids Dad. You have spent time with your Dad and extended family, and your Dad seems to be doing well. Your mom doesn't want to deal with everything this year and that is understandable.

Thanksgiving may not mean a lot to your ole man right now, but it probably will as time goes by. I bet he misses his family and it will mean a lot to him to know his wife and kids want to spend it with Daddy.

So do a yummy family dinner with just you and the kids. Y'all live so far away. Might as well celebrate and be thankful for family while they're together.
