Chased tail my Freshman year in HS.Played tail my Frosh year in HS. being short and built like a brick s***house meant I was able to hit even small gaps in the line hard and was hard to get hold of. If I got loose I was gone. Loved it. Mom didn't. She wouldn't sign the permission slip once those D linemen were a foot taller and 150 pounds heavier sophomore year. So I ended up switching to track. I had the speed to play safety or even WR, but I just wasn't tall enough to be good at either. Went to state all 3 years running sprints, so it wasn't terrible. Bonus, track was coed.![]()

That is amazing!!!!My grandfather lived on and ran the family farm. It's been in our family for over 100 years, started as a business in 1909. It was my great grandfather that bought 200 acres in the late 1890's and built the original homestead by hand. The current house was built in 1909 and my cousin and his family live there now, that is and always will be, my grandma's house. The farm is still ran by two of my uncles and a few cousins. They milk about 125 holsteins and sell the milk to Land O Lakes. They have over 300 head of cattle though and chickens. They used to have pigs but got rid of them in the late 1990's. We still have pictures of my grandpa plowing the fields with a horse and plow
Crushing boys' hopes was a time-honored tradition for those of us being chased.A time-honored tradition.
Kinda a downer but what I didn't realize what would happen Is we used to bring my dog on our trip. I had to have her put down Dec 27th last year. We stopped at the same spots each time so she could use the bathroom. Passing those spots and not stopping was quite depressing we stopped at 4 spots spread out pretty much equally every trip
I loved track. As a football player you were really required to be part of the track team, or at least most of us were. Coach would just tell you that you were on the track team. I would have anyway. I even pole vaulted for them because we didn't have anyone else that would, and not very high. I remember at a track meet against our biggest rival they had a high jumper that set the State record. He was high jumping 3 feet less than we wer pole vaulting.Played tail my Frosh year in HS. being short and built like a brick s***house meant I was able to hit even small gaps in the line hard and was hard to get hold of.
