What I mean is I hear that a lot in here from people. Then, that leaves you to think that probably has a lot to do with why they are in a forum. It is safer to someone that feels that way to interact.

I have found it to be the opposite. At least I can punch someone in person. Or hug them. I can do nothing to/with people online. And you never truly know who you are speaking to online.
