I am! I went from not expecting anyone to now expecting people. Sigh...

My favorite Thanksgiving memory as a kid was when my Father invited a neighbor over.
The neighbor was a long haul bus driver. His family was headed to North Louisiana to visit her family but since he wasn't getting home until Thanksgiving day he would be there by himself.
About the time we were going to sit down to dinner, my Father looked out the window at the neighbor arriving home and went over to get him to have dinner with us.
As a kid, that seemed to be the perfect Thanksgiving.

It's not so much the beach that's the problem, but that y'all have Christmas in the middle of summer. That's just wrong
