Why don't you like them?

They are ugly, too common, and get huge. The flowers don't last long and aren't big enough for the size plant they come off of

My husband has bad feelings for hostas because he worked as a landscaper for a decade. Hostas were always a pain. Constantly encroaching where they shouldn't and getting torn up from the weed whacker.
