Yes, we call it a Barbecue BBQ for short
I know you weirdos in the south use that term for the actual food/meal. But here it refers to the appliance

I had a friend from Louisiana that called it something else, but for the life of me I can remember now. But every time he said it it would make me double take.

Stressful day at the museum but I in the evening I got to talk to my mom (and dad) on the phone so that was awesome. Wished mom a happy Mother's Day (and re-assured her of my safety) My brother and his family were over at my parent's when I called so I got to talk to DB and SIL too. SIL said the kids all wanted to wish me a "Happy Auntie Day" which totally melted my heart. My family is the best.
