So much this. I grew up in a log home and I used to hate ging outside because of the carpenter bees.**Carpenter bee nursery and woodpecker toy
PSA:For real. I hate the darn things.
Umm. They are making baby toads.
Yay!!!! Something went wrong with the Pomeranian's eggs. She broke one and when I checked yesterday there were maggots in the nest and I took the whole thing to the birn pile. I'm going to foster the little ones to them if they'll take them. I figure I can do the see but don't touch in their play pen until I'm sure the pair will be sweet. The reposessed Poms adopted the little Blue gosling the Buffs wouldn't take.I have exciting news!
I've had a broody goose for a while. Initially she was sitting on several eggs and had a lot of quitters. I actually ended up throwing out her original eggs because they were quitters. When I last checked her a few days ago she had three good eggs under her. I've been feeling apprehensive about the last week because she's now been broody longer than she should have been and has lost a lot of weight. I was considering kicking her off the nest soon if I didn't see anything happening. Last night I was looking around for a duck that I couldn't find and went over to the goose house. All the geese started freaking out, not just the broody. They all ran over to the nest and started hissing at me and honking.
Then I spotted an adorable yellow fluffy gosling head sticking up from under the broody, taking it all in.
I was so excited! I started jumping around the pen, screaming and hollering while the geese were screaming at me. It was bedlam there for a minute.
I don't have a picture of the gosling yet because I didn't want to bother the geese too much but I'll try to get one later today. I'm hoping she at least gets one more baby, hopefully two.
Nope. They are copulating. They're not fornicating, they're mating!
I keep telling you people there is something psychologically wrong with an animal that crpas in a box.Sometimes I hate cats. I have three indoor cats. They have four litter boxes, the recommended amount for that many cats. I clean the litter boxes daily and it's a litter they all approve of.
I go to fold a clean basket of laundry and lo and behold, cat pee!

I am sure they are higher now being about 3 years and everything is higher now on top of that.We usually craigslist hunt for items like this anyway. I'll be on the lookout. Thanks!

They are abolutely worth every penny. I only have one up on the barn and I only see a few. I plan on getting two more and mounting them on the left and middle of the front too. Plus the chickens like to eat the dead ones when I empty the trap. Fair warning though, it does take a while for the bees to die in the trap. So I drop them out at night and stomp all over them to free up space for new ones the next day.

Also if you're worried about her next year, you can put a bowl of feed next to the nest. Georgia is bad about not getting off the nest, so I keep a bowl next to her.

They are amazing! I picked one up at Walmart in the fall year before last and never put it up. When I saw the first ones out this year I went inside and got it. The string is also super long so if you've got a ladder tall enough, you can mount it just about anywhere and still be able to reach it to dump them out.I need to try some of those!
Sound broken to me.Are they fixed?
Oh yeah. Household policy. All cats that want to live with me and eat my food have to be spayed/neutered.Are they fixed?

OmgIz would call it breeding. Then she would judge the male's performance.
