Random totally unrelated question.

Is it "coming down the pike" or "coming down the pipe?" I've heard both and they both seem correct.

Anyone know?

I had the same question! I’m not from the mountains so it’s always been pipe for me. Then one day not too long ago someone on TV said pike.

I Googled for you. Pike is the original, but both are now accepted as correct.

I bet you didn't know that "for real?" Is a fishing reference as well, and it's originally supposed to be said "for fishing" but spelled as "4"
