I love kimchi, but I've never seen any like that. The only kimchi I know looks like this:

I get mine from a local lady who grows all the vegetables in her own garden, and then makes it into kimchi herself. It's fantastic. :drool
This definitely looks more like what I associate with kimchi. That tictok looks more like pickled veggies.

Gosh, I did NOT realize what a hot button (and totally common) issue this is! Holy moly.

I talked with DH about it a bit, and he seems committed to keeping our order and the WH breed, and says we will just have to figure it out. Ha. So I will make sure he understands that means separate housing for the drake once the hens go broody. I'm thinking that might mean he needs his own house / pen with a pool I can fill, since I think that would be easier, (isolating one bird vs. 3), and makes more sense to leave the hens in the main house so the girls can continue to range / keep the pond access. Yes?

That sounds good to me. It would be best if they had adjoining fence lines so he doesn't get too lonely.

That doesn't solve the issue of protecting the chickens from the drake before your ducks go broody though. Or from your ducks being overmated by him
