I am undecided on an emotion for the day. Currently oscillating between spicy and annoyed. Entertaining tired though.

I've moved on to sick. It is so hot in the office I am absolutely miserable.

Right now I really want a cockatiel, but this time I'm making myself wait until October to get one, since they live for 20+ years I need to really, really, really want one. And it gives me time to research and buy up all the stuff I'll need. But I think this may actually be the first time I've ever made myself wait

Cockatiels can live closer to 30 years. And if you hate dust, don't get one. Their down feathers turn to dust and it gets on EVERYTHING. All year long, not just when they molt. And it's not normal dust, it doesn't wipe away or vacuum up very easily. Just a little info on them. I love my George but will not be getting another one when he goes

Cockatiel dander makes me so sick. All the dusty African and Australian birds do though.

Nah, dust doesn't bother me.
I live in the country and have an open concept kitchen (who the hail decided that was what country kitchens should look like?!) So I dust (with wet rags) regularly anyways.
It'd be one thing if I sneezed when I opened the duckling incubator, or had allergies, or had a pristine town home, but I'm okay with dirt and dust.

I have a covered patio area where I'd like to put a large flight cage for eating chop and bathing, and inside I'll have a smaller (but still wide) cage on my dresser next to the snake, where it'll sleep and spend minimal amounts of time.

Probably budgies since they're oily and not dusty
