Cracker Barrel is hit and miss, IMHO. Unfortunately, I think it's one of those places that's highly dependent on awesome management to be good. They will get swamped, and then you need efficient staff to keep the traffic moving. The menu is what it is, but I've sadly found *insanely* slow service to be more of a problem than the food itself. It's one of the few places you can get biscuits and gravy or country fried whatever around here, but I have found speedier service and arguably better tasting of that sort of fare at various truck stops across the country! I wish Cracker Barrel we're more consistent if that's what you are looking for, but sadly, that hasn't been my experience.Like I said, Mom likes it too. I just have never found anything on their menu worth repeat business.
