Horses are like a man's equivalent to buying a boat. A money pit. Get a boat. Boats don't run over the fences and down the street when it sees a snake either. At least mine never, can't say that about sis's horse. With dad sitting on the porch drinking a cup of coffee just watching it run off into the sunset. I don't recall having horses after that. She had 2 now though
I don’t like boats, I’m never allowed to drive them :(

I love them. Basically living on the bayou when I was a kid. Swimming all summer and never got ate by an alligator. Only thing I don't like is launching and picking the boat up. I do fine but my anxiety gets the best of me sometimes if alot of people are at the launch. I have 3 and about to bring the newest when it isn't quite as burning hot. In the fall and spring it's beautiful on the bayou. Scenery is awesome. Dead of summer also brings those yellow biting flies that are terrible to get into

I like sailboats. Motorboats just don’t bring the same adrenaline.

Best boating experience of my life was sailing over in Grand Caymen.

Though I was on the Sailing team for a year or two, sometimes I miss the adrenaline, but I do not miss capsizing into the <50° water lol.

One time we were sailing in 20knot winds, and we were racing towards the shore, all the other boats around us had already capsized, it was just us remaining. We had to gybe, something we generally try to avoid in high winds due to a high chance of capsizing, or crash. I was down to crash, that water was cold man, lol. But my partner wouldn’t have that, so we had to gybe. It was almost certain we would capsize, these were the highest winds we’d ever had. But with flawless movements from both parties we were able to successfully avoid both capsizing and crashing.

Horses are 200x better though. Boats don’t cuddle or have soft fur. Nor can you love them and build a relationship with them like you can with a horse.
