I don't know what to do with all these bags of food that are piled in my garage. I had to keep rebuying because the girls refused to touch almost all of it because they were pellets. And now I can't use the rest of the grower/starter or layer crumbles/pellets. *smh*

Ah well. Live and learn.

That sucks Im so sorry If I lived closer I would take it off your hands mine are about 5 weeks. And they eat everything....except lettuce lol.

You can probably still use up the grower feed. It's the layer feed that is an issue with a mixed flock.

Our 3 Golden Girls are a mystery to everyone. My brother thinks they're NH Reds, because they're a popular seller in our TSC. We also have 2 Sapphire Gem pullets, and 2 Easter Egger pullets. We also have a SG cockerel, and (now only 1) EE cockerel.

My babies love lettuce. Especially in the heat. My sister works for a local grower and gets a bunch of it for free, and I've started purchasing it to support the business and because the chickens love it more than any other kind.

I wish someone around here could use it. Most of the bags are open though and the only person around here that has chickens also have roosters, so they would probably think I poisoned the feed to kill their roosters. That would be my worry if someone offered me any bag of food for any of my animals. They can sometimes be a nuisance and the teenager that lives nearby keeps b!tching about the crowing. Everyone else seems fine with it, but the teen is a pos and I could totally see it poisoning our flock...So yeah, it's something that has crossed my mind and I don't doubt the other person would be just as worried that I would try it.
