Very cute!Mandatory chicken content:View attachment 3259242
You had a year like I did.I’m happy @Isadora has returned and is doing well. You go girl!
Also, as for my hatching this year…out of 46 total - only 33 of them were cockerels.![]()
All of my chickens do it. They also gently peck around each others' eyes. When I first observed this, I thought they were hurting each other. But I have come to relize that they are, in fact, grooming one another.Very cute!
Tell me about this behaviour (gently pecking beaks). I see some of my girls do it fairly often. Are they sharing food? Grooming beaks? Showing affection? Something else?
Did they listen? My cockerels have begun having crow wars with each other. I told them that if they keep it up, I will hold their beaks under water until the bubbles stop.![]()
Until a group of obnoxious teenagers went by that like to crow at them. Then I let them go. Their voices are much louder than those of the nasty children, and I prefer their voices.Did they listen?
Although I do feel bad for the few good neighbors we have.Use number 5 of chickens. Annoy the neighbors. One of the many benefits.![]()
