I've been eating the boys candy for 4 hours now without him.
And I don't mean like 4 or 5 pieces.

That was another debate. That cow with the short tail was our 1st milk cow, she just didn't produce enough for her to be our main source. He toyed with the idea of breeding her so we could start milking her again but I think he would rather have her meat at this point.

Looks like it, at this point. She's not a friendly cow, so she really had that going against her. She throws her head around and with her horns, that could obviously be dangerous. I think he would have been a lot more willing to go through the pain of trying to find a Dexter bull or buying some semen for her if she was nice.
The cattle are really my husband's thing. I feed Chuckles every day but he does everything else.

My mom used to shop there a ton when I was a kid. Only been a couple times since I was married and they just didn't sell the kind stuff I was looking for.

Love shopping at Aldi! The one we go to has a ton of good stuff

She does! She was attacked by coyotes when she was a calf. Thankfully she can raise it and everything so it's not damaged in that regard, just shorter than it should be.

All the cows at my family farm have stubby tails. My uncles take them off when they are calves, with the bands. It got too annoying having to milk 125 cows with their tails all wacking my uncles in the face

If you keep milking everyday, she keeps giving.

It's best to dry them out. Gives them a break

I asked him about that before, but with meat prices being so high, he thinks it makes more sense to butcher than sell.
