Are anyone else's chickens still laying really good? I'm still getting three or four eggs a day from my six hens. No extra light this year, I usually do but wanted them to go into a proper molt and rest this winter. Only one has started molting but she is in a slow molt

apparently i got extremely lucky while we were away.

we have a standing dead tree in the middle of the chicken yard that i should have cut down before i fenced the whole thing in. and since then i’ve been procrastinating having it cut down.

while we were away, it looks like the top 15-20ft broke off and somehow, very luckily, missed the fences and the coop entirely

Mine started molting in late August. I get 4 or 5 a day from 12 hens and 3 of those are new layers.
