Dick, I think a roost by that window would be ok. A good way to see if it gets windy is to put a feather on a string by the window. If wind blows the feather, no bueno

Also a good way to check is to put it in and see if they use it.... they won't use it if it is too draughty

thanks. i think i’ll go for it. i’m thinking just above the top of the window

when it drops down near 0 i usually close that window anyway.
