Beautiful up there. About 20 years ago DW and were working a nursing contract in Sacramento and we had a chance to raft down the American River. I remember bears, gold miners and the COLDEST WATER I've ever been in.

We had rafted in the Smokies and swam in the Mississippi R. so when they offered a wet suit I declined. He probably snickered over the phone and said they would have extras in case I changed my mind. I got in as far as my big toe and went to look for our wet suits.
