there were LOTS of stories. my grandfather ended up writing a book about his life and exploits. he definitely lived life big.

My grandfather grew up on an egg farm. It was his family that settled here in the valley and started the first hatchery here. Oddly I just found this out last year.

Hear that @The Moonshiner? I have one chicken but my great grandfather raised hundreds of thousands. The stories grandaddy told me about gathering eggs and getting so good he could pretty much guess their size in grams by hand.. Awesome stories. You should hear how they dealt with rats back in the 1930's-40's. That was him and his brother's main job.

I loved it. I only played 2 years. The guys got too big. I really wanted to play safety, but I wasn't fast enough.

Neighbor is finally cutting corn. I can't help but imagine that being a giant cloud of mold spores.

My grandfather lived on and ran the family farm. It's been in our family for over 100 years, started as a business in 1909. It was my great grandfather that bought 200 acres in the late 1890's and built the original homestead by hand. The current house was built in 1909 and my cousin and his family live there now, that is and always will be, my grandma's house. The farm is still ran by two of my uncles and a few cousins. They milk about 125 holsteins and sell the milk to Land O Lakes. They have over 300 head of cattle though and chickens. They used to have pigs but got rid of them in the late 1990's. We still have pictures of my grandpa plowing the fields with a horse and plow
