I am! I went from not expecting anyone to now expecting people. Sigh...

My son and gf are coming now along with 2 of their friends, and got a text from a student who found herself suddenly homeless, so she's coming.

It's shocking how many of my students live truly horrible lives (although this particular girl is def better off homeless). I don't normally rescue them because I can't rescue them all. But I would if I could.

Be thankful, friends.

Who is cooking/baking today? I pulled this bad boy out the freezer last night so now it's thawed and ready to roast.View attachment 3331914
I'm also going to have sauteed green beans, eggnog, roasted sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.

Also, turkey's in. will do sides later when it's closer to time to head for the in-laws.

I'm cooking a turkey breast, a ham, green bean casserole, cranberry & orange sauce, mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, stuffed squash, morning rolls, pumpkin cheesecake, and an apple pie.

I started yesterday because the rolls needed time to rise and I like my pastry VERY cold prior to baking. I also cooked the ham ahead of time so all I have to do today is glaze it.

Irony = being vegetarian and having to prepare all the meat.

That is amazing!! we have some this year too. Two of my brother’s work friends and my dad’s friend who didn’t have anywhere to go and was a last minute addition.
