How in the world do y’all talk so much on a holiday surrounded by family? I’m en route to cook dinner for the ungrateful members I’ll be dining with this evening.

Well, I am currently outside guarding the chickens while the family is trying to digest the enormous amounts of food they have just inhaled.

Update: My dang turkey got stuck to the aluminum foil tent. I've NEVER had that happen. I'm angry.

And the pie leaked OVER the edge of the baking dish.

Husband is being a turd because the pie is making the kitchen smoky. Somehow it's my fault??? I guess???

My students isn't coming after all. She found friends to take her in for today (which probably will be lots more fun for her).

Happy Thanksgiving. I guess. This is almost as bad as Christmas usually is.

Just me, Diego, and the kids! It's like a normal day except I did more cooking.

Dinner #1
Vietnamese coffee, coconut pineapple punch, sweet potato casserole, roasted turkey, jalapeno poppers, green bean casserole (my fave), and gf rolls covered in melty ghee butter.

The only thing that would make this better would be a steamy bowl of gumbo, and maybe mashed potatoes with a ratio of 40% potato and 300% gravy. Ooh and a gooey serving of mac and cheese bake.
