Which came first, the chicken or the egg...finally, an answer!

Haha! Good one.

Depends on your view of the universe and its origins.

In my opinion:
It all depends on what you mean by "chicken".
If you mean jungle fowl, then it depends on your beliefs.
However, if you mean a domestic chicken, then it has to be the egg. Let me explain:
Humans bred jungle fowl to acheive the domestic chicken. This means that, though there may have been birds that were like chickens, the first actual chicken came from an egg. Just like you can create a sex-link chick by breeding a hen and a rooster of different breeds, they created a chicken by breeding a hen and a rooster that were both very close to chickens, but not fully 'chickens'.
If we all agree to disagree on the former, and agree on the latter, the world would be a better place :p .

I think the egg came first. Some sort of dionasour like thing layed an egg, it hatched into something that was more like a chicken- it layed another egg- and over time evolution made it so that a chicken hatched.

Guys... *sighs* It's obvious that the chicken and the egg both came at the same time, because a chicken is born with every egg it will ever lay in its lifetime. Not to be a killjoy.
