Thank you! I have 4 EEs right not and am thinking they would be the way to go as well. I also have Chocolate Orpingtons. I am thinking a breed that is one that harder to find at local feed stores to have more customers.

To turn your project into some more than that, I think it would be required. As for breed, IDK. "I" would not buy for looks, but function. Check your local ads. Good luck.

Yes, this what I'm thinking. I have Chocolate Orpingtons now and thinking I could breed them with a Blue Oprighton rooster to make mauve? But I've barely read about the genetics last night. Hence, my question today lol. Thanks for the input!
