If you say: these babies might lay green eggs, people will go crazy.Thank you! I have 4 EEs right not and am thinking they would be the way to go as well. I also have Chocolate Orpingtons. I am thinking a breed that is one that harder to find at local feed stores to have more customers.
To turn your project into some more than that, I think it would be required. As for breed, IDK. "I" would not buy for looks, but function. Check your local ads. Good luck.Yes, that seems to be the best route?
Yes, this what I'm thinking. I have Chocolate Orpingtons now and thinking I could breed them with a Blue Oprighton rooster to make mauve? But I've barely read about the genetics last night. Hence, my question today lol. Thanks for the input! Not many people want "normal" chickens. It's the ones who look different that people like, like @JacinLarkwell said!
Thank you for your suggestion! Some nice Rhode Island Reds would be good.
Great eggs layers and a hardy breed.
