which coop ? Pls help me choose 1

Most people recommend 4 sq feet of coop space per standard sized bird. This is if they have ample run space year round. (I don't know about ducks, I don't own any) Do the math. 5x8=40sqft/20 chickens=2sqft per bird. With a coop this size you would need to have less than 10 birds so that during the snow storm you just had they won't peck each other to death because they are in such close quarters.

My large coop is 8x8=64 sqft I had 8 hens =5.3sqft per bird and I'm in an area of NC that has very mild winters most years. My main run is 40x80 for those 8 birds.

ditto with the previous poster.
I allow way over for my birds.and they free range during the day.
Over crowding invites fighting, illness and generally unhappy chickens that may not lay as well.
Have you considered seeking bids for someone to build one...................seems like a lot of money for
the small amount of sq. feet.
Good Luck........
