Think about it. They need a caskets worth of dirt less to fill the hole, that's a lot of dirt.

Doesn't really rain here where I am so I'm not worried about moisture. I thought I read somewhere on this website that play sand was bad. Do you have experience with it?
It could have excessive dust, I would use contractors sand.
