Which end of the egg comes out first?

I would have guessed the small end first. Purdue and Mississippi State know alot more than I do. I learned something new today.

These have been fascinating & informative links, thank you all! Keep sending more, if you have them. It's amazing to consider all the complicated processes going on inside our humble hens, and almost every day too!

I recently spent more than 2 weeks manning the Poultry Tent at our county fair, talking to many many people about chickens, answering many many of their questions the best I could. Some of them would say "Does a hen lay ONLY one egg a day? I thought it would be more!" And I'd tell them "If you consider what a marvel each egg really is, it's more remarkable to realize that they can perform this miracle on a daily basis!"

Guess you cant believe everything you read. Even my 6 yr old granddaughter know the color of the egg is not white chicken lay white eggs.

Purdue, stated white eggs come from white chickens, brown eggs come from red chickens. Guess they never saw a white rock egg.

Statement about which end is first is wrong also all the video prove its small end first!!!!!

WRONG FACTS, WRONG FACTS, unless someone is coloring my eggs brown from my white rock hens.
