Which Hatchery?

Hi, I am looking to buy some bantam chicks, but I would like to get only about 5. does anyone know what a good hatchery with a order minimum of 5 or less is?

No hatchery that I'm aware of will ship only 5 bantams, most require orders of 15 or more. Most hatcheries can't sex their bantams either so a larger number will make up for the cockerels you end up with.

Ideal poultry has no minimum chick number but minimum $30 purchase. I think you can have them round up to $30 if your total is under.

You should check back frequently, as people cancel their orders and then quite suddenly they will have some available. They are one of the few hatcheries that sells sexed bantams, though only certain breeds and only certain colors for some reason.

Cackle Hatchery only hatches and sells bantams from February through roughly mid August.

Meyer hatchery will ship as few as 3 I think. They also have what they call a meal maker option which is basically a free bird for you to either donate the eggs or meat. I've ordered from them previously and was pleased.
