Which is better? BYC vs FACEBOOK

BYC for sure. Here every one has something in common. On face book if i post a pic of my chickens, every one calls me weird.

I would disagree with FB being social. IMO, It's the way for a person to be the star of their own little world and to distance themselves from one another. After all, if you post personal news on FB, you are not "staying in touch", you're announcing yourself like your own press agent. If you really wanted to stay in touch with someone, you'd call them, or at least, email. And you won't change my mind about that one.

Facebook is to narcissists what BYC is to chicken owners.

I like BYC because if I talk about chickens on FB no one cares or someone says "that is annoying blah blah blah". Facebook just doesn't do it for me anymore, I go on to talk to a couple friends, I don't make new friends on there anymore because of drama, some of my friends don't even use it, and all I see on my newsfeed is "swag swag swag". Ugh.

I wouldn't call those friends but "people who share my airspace" People who made comments about my hobbies like I see here are written out of my life pretty quickly. I don't care if you don't enjoy the same things as I do but nasty comments won't be tolerated.
Letting yourself be surrounded by people like that is only inviting heartbreak into your life. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you
